2025 Autumn Play

A Brief History of Women

by Alan Ayckbourn

Directed by Felicity James

Wednesday 22nd - Saturday 25th October 2025 (tbc)

A comedy in 4 parts following the fortunes of a house, a young man and the women who love him over a period spanning 60 years.

Written for a cast of 3 men and 3 women it calls for some flexible acting, as the young man ages and different characters in his life come and go.

There will be an informal read through of the play at 7.30pm on Tuesday 29th April in the back room at the Cross Keys pub with auditions at 7.30pm on Tuesday 6th May and Sunday 11th  May in Kings Cliffe Village Hall.

There is opportunity to expand the cast to accommodate some less experienced actors if someone wants to dip their toe into acting or if availability for rehearsals is limited, so don’t be afraid to have a chat to director Felicity James if this is you!

It would be helpful at this stage if you could register your interest in any aspect of the production, from set design to full on acting with via the  website or by e-mailing kingscliffeplayers@outlook.com.
